Unclear Which Chrome tools are on the list that asks for permission is not stated.
Some Claude in Chrome tools, the actions Claude Code takes in your browser, can now stop and ask for your permission with "Claude in Chrome requires permission." Before, they were allowed straight away. A tool asks when all of these hold:
- asking is switched on for Chrome tools
- the tool is on a list of tools that should ask
- the session is not set to avoid prompts
Otherwise the tool runs at once as before. A permission rule that allows a whole tool may no longer cover these actions. Asking is controlled remotely and falls back to on when the server sends nothing.
Some Chrome actions may now pause for confirmation, and a blanket allow rule you set up earlier may not stop those prompts.
tengu_cozy_eagle Not enough to sayNothing here resolved what this flag was doing on this version, so nothing here should be read as on or off.
This account: no value returned · anonymous baseline: no value returned · compiled default in v2.1.290: on
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
tengu_cowork_chrome_automode_default Off by default, switched on for this accountThe shipped code defaults this off, and the flag server returned on for the one account this site reads on this version. That is the reading that makes the entry above worth a second look, and it still says nothing about your account.

Read once, for one account on one subscription tier, against v2.1.290. It isn't a statement about your account. What a flag value here can and cannot tell you
