In auto mode, Claude Code asks GitHub whether the repository is public or private. If the same repository is already being looked up, a new check now waits for that answer instead of asking again. The host-level lookup is also cached and shared the same way. Claude Code now records how long the token lookup and the GitHub request take, and whether a token was available.
Why
Fewer repeated calls to GitHub, and timings that can show when the check is slow.
