What
A pane is a panel that can be drawn inside Claude Code's screen. Its layout has been rearranged:
- The tab strip and body now sit in their own column, with the close button beside them.
- The scrolling content is wrapped in a component that is told the scroll position and width, instead of being shifted with a negative margin.
- When the pane has no border and no tab strip, a one-row spacer is added.
- Clicks and mouse-wheel scrolling are now picked up by the outer box.
Why
This may change how scrolling and text selection behave in panes.
