What
When Claude Code cannot uninstall a plugin because it cannot save the settings file that lists it, the error message now covers more causes. Previously it handled only a settings file stored on a network location, and told you to make it an ordinary file on this machine. It now also covers:
A settings file that cannot be read from this machine.
A settings file that is a link to a file on another machine, with advice for that case.
A path that changed while Claude Code was checking it, with a hint to try again.
The message ends by telling you to uninstall the plugin again once the file can be saved.
Why
You get recovery steps that match what actually went wrong, instead of one piece of advice that only fits a network location.
