What
When you paste a lot of text into the prompt box, Claude Code shows a short placeholder instead of the full text. Before, only pastes over a certain length or number of lines got a placeholder.
Now a pasted link, once trimmed of spaces, can also become a placeholder even when it is short. After pasting a link, Claude Code adds a space before whatever you paste next.
Why
Pasted links may now appear in your prompt as a placeholder rather than as the address itself.
