What
Claude Code can insert notices into a session's conversation. These are now:
- Deduplicated, so a notice that repeats is left out.
- Added as a stand-in tool step, made by Claude Code rather than the model, when there is no reply from Claude for the notice to attach to.
Why
This changes how inserted notices, such as wake-up messages, end up in the conversation record.
