What
In a remote session, Claude Code receives control requests: instructions about running the session rather than messages for the model. Claude Code now checks what kind of request each one is.
An unknown or malformed kind gets an error reply saying it is not supported.
A request that is out of date, or one that has been replayed more than a set number of times, gets no reply.
Before, any request kind it did not handle got the same "unsupported" error.
Why
The connection to remote sessions is tighter, and old requests sent again and again no longer cause a flood of replies.
