What
A plugin's path source tells Claude Code which folder inside a repository holds the plugin. Its description now says the repository is "Checked out sparsely" over https or ssh as a partial clone, which means only the needed parts are downloaded. It used to say "Cloned sparsely using partial clone".
Installed plugins also now keep a record of which repository folder they came from, and the way Claude Code refreshes plugin state has been reworked.
Why
The wording suggests that downloading only part of a repository now also works over ssh.
