Plugins are add-ons that extend Claude Code. Where Claude Code shows where a plugin came from, plugins from the plugin directory used to be labelled 'Unknown source'. They are now labelled 'Built in'.
Claude Code also has new internal names for the plugin directory's catalog, switch and toggle.
