What
Claude Code now saves a file called plugin-directory-bindings.json. It records, for each entry from a directory-type plugin marketplace, which repository it is linked to. The file is only written when a check on the directory marketplace passes.
Limits on the file:
- It can be at most 1 MB. If a write would make it bigger, Claude Code leaves it as it is.
- Each entry's key can be at most 1024 characters.
- If the file cannot be read, Claude Code leaves it untouched.
Why
This is saved state for the Anthropic Directory plugin feature, so the links survive between sessions.
