When a serve-only connection is lost, Claude Code now tries to resume it, and ends the session only if that fails. Before, the session ended straight away.

Usage reporting also changes:

  • Permission data gains an ask_class field, holding the kind of approval request when an action needs your approval, and "none" otherwise.
  • attach_serve_resume is added to a list of recorded event names.
Why

A serve-only connection that drops briefly no longer has to end your session.
