A cloud session is a Claude Code session that runs on a remote machine. Claude Code measures how long each step of setting one up takes, and it now measures these steps too:

  • First connection to a served MCP server (an add-on that gives Claude extra tools)
  • Loading nested memory files from the repository
  • Listing the container
  • Reading the environment
  • Adding a directory
  • Folder rules
  • Folder skills
  • Restoring folder memory
