What
Hooks are commands you configure to run automatically at certain moments. Where Claude Code lists your hooks for a cloud session (a session running on Anthropic's servers rather than your machine), the single label "stays local" is replaced by more specific ones:
"is not sent to the cloud"
"duplicates a row above"
"does not run for cloud work"
"except after cloud file edits"
