When Claude Code runs tools on a remote service, each action goes through a permission check. In auto mode that can include a second check by a safety classifier (a model that judges whether an action is safe to approve). Three changes are behind remote switches that default to off:
- a second check that timed out is retried, where before it ran only once
- Claude Code's own check can run ahead of time alongside a hold on the action
- shell commands that cannot be read clearly are treated as needing a person to approve them, with an exception that involves the settings file
The flag server returned on for this site's account and for the anonymous baseline on all three switches. No reading has been taken under this release yet.
This tunes how actions are approved automatically in cloud sessions. The shell change means an unclear command waits for you instead of being approved without you.
tengu_violin_tailgut Off by default, switched on for this accountThe shipped code defaults this off, and the flag server returned on for the one account this site reads on this version. That is the reading that makes the entry above worth a second look, and it still says nothing about your account.
This account: on · anonymous baseline: on · compiled default in v2.1.286: off
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.

Read once, for one account on one subscription tier, against v2.1.286. It isn't a statement about your account. What a flag value here can and cannot tell you
What each of the three switches controls on its own, and exactly how the settings file exception works, is not clear.
