What

Claude Code checks whether a saved item is still fresh. It now measures the item's age from the later of the time it was saved and a second recorded time, instead of from the save time alone. The item still counts as fresh until 90% of its allowed lifetime has passed.

Why

In practice, the saved item can stay valid for longer before Claude Code treats it as stale.
