What
MCP servers are outside programs that give Claude Code extra tools. When Claude Code loads the MCP servers that an organization manages for its users, it can now pass them through a filter that decides which ones to keep, before combining them with your other servers. Before, there was no such filter.
Why
This lets organization-wide MCP settings be narrowed down before they take effect.
