What

Claude Code can now take the name of the current model and work out an alternate model to suggest. A related check spots when an error is a fallback model error for that model. A fallback model is the backup Claude Code switches to when the main model is overloaded. The suggestion is produced only when a server-controlled switch allows it, and that switch is on unless it is turned off remotely.

Why

This looks like the start of Claude Code suggesting another model when a fallback fails, although nothing here shows the suggestion appearing on screen.
