What
When a file transfer between machines is refused, Claude Code now says: "Cross-machine file transfer is unavailable: it uploads file contents through Anthropic servers, which this provider/privacy configuration does not allow. Same-machine (uds:) transfers still work."
Transfers on the same machine, marked uds:, are not affected.
Why
If you use a provider other than Anthropic or a stricter privacy setup, the message tells you why the transfer was refused and that same-machine transfers still work.
