What
Slash commands are the commands you type starting with /. When you type one, Claude Code suggests matching commands. The search now also matches the beginning of words in each command's description, and it remembers the results of your last search to respond faster.
Suggestions are now ranked by these rules, in order:
An exact match on the command name
An exact match on one of the command's other names
How long the matching start of the name is
How closely the name loosely matches what you typed
How many description words match
A final boost for certain commands
Why
The order of suggestions you see when typing / will change, and commands can now be found by words in their description.
