What
Claude Code reads a marker in a background task's result to decide the task's state. A background task is work that runs while you do other things. A result that asks for approval is now classed as blocked, along with what it needs. Results that are out of date are left alone.
Why
Tasks that are waiting for you to approve something may now show as blocked instead of looking as if they are still running.
