What
An agent is a separate Claude worker that handles a task for you, and Claude Code sorts each agent into a status. It now checks an agent's final message for phrases such as "awaiting your approval" or "ready for your approval" and marks the agent as asking you. Wording that is negated, conditional or optional is ignored.
Why
An agent that has stopped to wait for your go-ahead is more likely to show as waiting rather than done.
