What
A remote session is one controlled from a device other than the machine it runs on. When the server refused a request, Claude Code used to re-enrol the device and retry only if the reason was untrusted_device. It now does this for any refusal reason and passes that reason to the recovery step.
Why
More kinds of refusal can now be recovered from automatically, instead of the session failing.
