What
Skills are sets of instructions Claude can use for particular tasks, and some ship with Claude Code. When you try to use one of these built-in skills and it is turned off, the error can now include a specific reason. It also says when a skillOverrides entry in your settings turns the skill off as well. Before, the message only gave generic wording about disableBundledSkills and CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_BUNDLED_SKILLS.
Why
If an administrator or a setting has turned off a skill, it is easier to see which setting is responsible and what to change.
