What
Permission rules are the allow, ask and deny entries in your settings that control what Claude Code may do without asking you. They now apply when Claude Code lists a type:
Deny rule: listing a type a deny rule covers fails with the error list_type_rule_denied. This holds whether the rule names the type by its link or covers it however the request spells the type's name.
Ask rule: the listing stops, the result is marked unavailable, and the message says to list it again with type set to exactly the type the rule names.
