The sandbox is a set of limits on what commands run by Claude can do, including which websites they can reach. When a command asks to reach a new website, the prompt offers "Yes, and don't ask again". That choice used to be saved to your local settings for the current project every time.
Claude Code now chooses where to save it. When it saves to your user settings, the option reads "in any project (user settings)". Programs that drive Claude Code through its SDK, and receive permission suggestions instead of a prompt, get the same save location, or a suggestion that lasts only for the current session when there is none.
Why
A website you allow may now be remembered for all your projects rather than just the one you are in, so check the wording of the option before choosing it.
