The steps that run when you switch models have been reorganised. When the model changes, Claude Code now refreshes the data it loaded at startup. Behind a remotely controlled setting, it also saves a copy of client data that has already been shown. That setting falls back to on when the server sends nothing.
Switching models may behave slightly differently than before.
