What
A plugin marketplace is a catalog of plugins you can add to Claude Code. When the marketplace comes from a git address, Claude Code now checks that address first and stops with an error if the check fails. This happens before the check against your organization's allowed list of marketplaces.
Why
Some marketplace additions may now fail that did not before, and a bad git address is refused earlier, with its own error instead of a policy message.
