Ignore rules follow the style of a .gitignore file, where a pattern ending in a slash, such as dir/, only means a folder. Claude Code used to check a path against these rules without the slash, so such a rule could miss the folder itself. When the path is a folder, Claude Code now checks it as path/, so folder-only rules match.
