What
The part of Claude Code that reads and writes files inside its sandbox (a restricted area that limits what commands can touch) has new abilities on Linux, macOS and Windows:
- It can list the contents of a directory.
- It reuses a directory it already has open instead of opening it again.
- It has an option, when creating a file, to write straight through to disk and force the data to be saved immediately.
The code that checks .gitattributes files and git directories was also reworked.
