What
Before fetching a web page, Claude Code checks whether the web address is on a blocklist. When that check itself fails, Claude Code now records the HTTP status code returned, the number a web server sends back such as 404 or 500, along with the error.
Why
This makes it easier to diagnose why a web page fetch was blocked.
