What

Claude Code used to turn an audio file you mentioned with @ into text. That is gone:

  • The audio_transcript attachment is removed. It told Claude that an @-mentioned audio file had been transcribed with Anthropic's speech-to-text service.
  • The message view no longer shows a "Transcribed" line or a "transcription failed" error.
  • Pasting no longer treats audio as text-like, and the onAudioPaste handler is removed from the prompt box.

Separately, bypass-permissions mode, where Claude runs tools without asking, now respects a tool's excludedFromModeBypassAllow flag. A tool that sets it is not approved automatically in that mode.

Why

Audio files you mention or paste are no longer transcribed for Claude. Some tools may still ask for your approval even in bypass-permissions mode.
