What
An artifact is a page Claude can publish from a session. After publishing one, Claude Code sends Claude a short message confirming it. That message used to add tips on getting back to it later: the gallery, the /artifacts command and the ctrl+] shortcut. Those tips have been removed.
What remains is the basic confirmation. In apps that show the publish as a card, Claude is also told to describe the page in a sentence and not to paste the link unless you ask for it.
Why
Claude is now less likely to tell you how to find the artifact again, so if you need it later, use /artifacts yourself.
