What
Claude Code fetches feature flags from https://api.anthropic.com/. Feature flags are switches that turn parts of Claude Code on or off remotely. The address now comes from a small lookup step instead of being written in directly, but it is still the same address.
If your sign-in stops working partway through a session, Claude Code now records that and treats the failed flag fetch as a temporary problem rather than a lasting one.
Why
This is a small robustness change to how feature flags are fetched. It has no settings of its own and nothing for you to do.
