Account memory is information Claude keeps about you across conversations. Claude Code now has two new behaviours for it:
- The inputs and results of the account memory tool can be replaced with the placeholder "[account memory text removed from this conversation]".
- In remote sessions (Claude Code running on a server rather than your own computer), memory is fetched early in a turn and again when the turn ends. A turn is one request from you plus Claude's full reply.
A remotely controlled setting decides how many seconds the end-of-turn refresh waits.
What Claude remembers about your account may be kept out of the saved conversation. In remote sessions it may also be kept more up to date.
