What
When a command breaks the sandbox's rules, Claude Code records a line describing the violation. That line is now cleaned more thoroughly. Before, only control characters were removed. Now it also removes:
invisible characters such as soft hyphens and zero-width characters
characters that change text direction
byte order marks and Unicode tag characters
every < and >
Why
Violation text is shown to Claude and to you, so this makes it harder to hide instructions or fake tags inside it.
