What
In the sandbox, Claude Code uses a helper to point Java programs at its network proxy. It now looks for that helper in only three places next to its own files, and if it is not there it carries on without logging a warning. The other places it used to check are gone.
Why
Debug logs are quieter, but in some installs Java programs in the sandbox may not be routed through the proxy, and nothing will say so.
