Browser and computer-use enable tools now really enable, with an optional task

What

These are tools Claude calls to get access to your own browser or computer. Before, their descriptions began 'Does nothing' and told Claude to use the browser or computer tools directly.

• enable__mcp__remote-devices__Claude_Browser now says it enables the browser built into the Claude desktop app on your computer for the conversation.
• enable__mcp__claude-in-chrome now says it enables Claude in Chrome, the Claude extension in your Chrome browser.
• enable__mcp__remote-devices__computer now says it enables computer use, so Claude can see your screen and work in your applications.
• The descriptions tell Claude to call the tool once, before any other browser or computer-use tool, when the task needs your own browser, your sign-in or your apps, or when you ask for them. Claude is told not to call them for questions it can answer from the conversation or a web search.
• The browser enable tools and the computer-use enable tool gain an input with an optional task text field.
• What a call returns is unchanged, and calling still hands the request over as before.
• The tools are available only when a session profile configuration is present. That configuration sits next to CCR_SESSION_PROFILE.

Why

Claude is now steered to ask for your browser or computer itself when a task needs it, instead of treating these tools as placeholders. Expect it to request that access more readily.
