If Claude Code cannot read one of the switches that control its tool-host feature, it now treats that switch as off and writes an error to its log.
The tool-host feature also withdraws itself when any of these is true:
- its remote gate is off
- its flag is off
- the computer is not running macOS or Linux
- you are not signed in with a stored login
- the current folder is not a git checkout

If reading a switch fails, tool hosting is turned off instead of crashing.
