What
A synced skill is a set of instructions that Claude Code loads from your claude.ai account. Claude Code used to match your permission allow rules against a synced skill's former names, so a rule kept working after the skill was renamed. That matching has been removed.
Why
If a synced skill is renamed, allow rules that use its old name may stop applying and you may be asked for permission again. Updating the rule to the new name fixes this.
