The /status command opens the Settings screen on its Status tab. That screen has a section listing where your settings come from, and it now shows a "Client data" entry whenever a client-data document is loaded. When no such document is loaded, the entry does not appear.
Why
Client data is one of the places settings can come from, and it now shows up in /status. You can open /status to see whether it is in play for your session.
The entry above is what we published on the day. These lines were added later, as Anthropic's own pages caught up, and they sit beside the original rather than replacing it.
Confirmed sinceAnthropic's documentation has since written up /status, on Deploy managed settings.* If you set a Boolean key to a quoted `"true"` or `"false"`, the value counts as that Boolean.
