What
Some setups pair Claude Code with a remote host, another machine it can send work to. When that host stops responding, Claude receives a message saying so. That message now tells Claude to:
- not call the host again in this turn (a turn is one round of Claude working on your message)
- finish the parts of the task the current machine can do
- tell you what is blocked and what it could not check
- try the host again only when you say it is back or ask it to retry
The message Claude gets when a request is refused without confirmation gains the same "do not call it again in this turn" line. A bug that stopped the "while this command was running" wording from appearing correctly in the message is also fixed.
Why
Claude no longer keeps poking a host that has gone silent during a single turn. It carries on with what it can do and tells you plainly what is waiting on the host.
