What
Claude Code keeps lists of hostnames that count as local, meaning addresses that point back to your own computer. Six domains, and every subdomain under them, are added to those lists:
localdev.melocal.gdlocalhost.directddev.sitelndo.sitelcl.host
All of them are wildcard domains that always resolve to 127.0.0.1, the address of your own machine.
Why
Local development tools such as DDEV and Lando give projects addresses on these domains. Claude Code now recognises those addresses as local instead of treating them as outside sites. This is likely to matter wherever Claude Code applies different network rules to local and external addresses.
