What
Claude Code keeps a journal of memory notes. A standing note is now marked as unshipped, meaning not saved, when the reason is that the memory store is full. That reason comes from the server errors "memory store has reached its memory limit" and "memory store has reached its size limit".
Why
In practice, Claude Code now records that a note was held back because your memory store is full.
