What
MCP servers are add-ons that give Claude Code extra tools. In the MCP server menu, the Authenticate and Re-authenticate options now only appear when the server's configured URL can be read as a valid web address. Before, they were shown whatever the URL was.
Why
This is a small guard in the menu so you are not offered sign-in for a server whose address cannot work.
