What
MCP servers are connections that give Claude Code extra tools. Claude Code has a new consent prompt for cloud sessions that run without a screen and attach to your computer. It asks whether this computer should offer its local MCP servers to that session.
- Allow
- Deny
- Not now
The prompt asks again if the set of servers being held back changes. If a refusal cannot be saved, the computer offers none of its MCP servers for that attach. The flow is controlled by a remote switch.
Why
Letting a cloud session use your local MCP servers exposes them beyond your machine. This asks for your consent first.
