Claude Code's prompt has a vim mode, which lets you edit your message with vim keyboard commands. In its normal mode, . repeats your last change.
A number typed before . is now passed along to the repeat, so something like 3. repeats the last change with a count of 3. Before, . ignored any count.
Why
Combining a count with . is standard vim behaviour that was missing, so muscle memory from vim now works here too.
