When a remote session receives a user message with file attachments, Claude Code used to prepare those attachments only after the previous step had finished. It can now start preparing them while it is still waiting for a turn to be handed over to it. This needs turn handoff to be allowed and a remote switch that is off unless it is switched on remotely. Claude Code's timing record for attachments now also notes whether this was turned on and whether it was used.
This is aimed at making remote or managed sessions respond sooner.
