What
Some plugins ship code that Claude Code loads as modules, where one file imports others. Claude Code used to resolve those imports one at a time. It now:
resolves imports in parallel batches, pausing now and then so the rest of the app stays responsive
loads a file only once when several paths lead to it through symlinks (shortcuts that point to another file)
reports running out of file descriptors (the operating system's limit on open files) with its own message, "not read, no file descriptor free", instead of a generic read failure
Why
Plugins with large sets of code files load faster, and when the system runs out of open-file slots the error says so directly.
