Before deleting anything, it now checks that each folder is a real folder and not a symbolic link (a shortcut pointing somewhere else), and skips it if not. It also stops if the folder is replaced by a different one while files are being deleted.
Why
Access-audit logs no longer pile up forever. The extra checks close a gap where swapping a folder for a link at the wrong moment could have made the cleanup delete files outside the configuration directory.
