In headless or print mode, where Claude Code runs without an interactive screen, a tool call (an action Claude asks to take, like running a command) that is waiting for permission can be parked with a saved record.
Once such a call is approved, Claude Code now waits until deleting its saved record is confirmed before running it. If the delete is not confirmed, the call is not run and a warning is logged.
Setting the environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_PARKED_RUN_BEFORE_CLEAR skips the wait, so the call runs before its record is cleared.
Why
If a record could not be cleared, the same call could later be picked up and run a second time. Waiting for confirmation prevents that, and the environment variable is a way back if the wait causes trouble.
